Brief
Hospital-acquired infections are common, costly and largely preventable, and this course gives frontline staff the practical skills to prevent them. Hosted on the ECSA-HC e-learning platform, it covers the chain of infection, hand hygiene and standard precautions, environmental cleaning, device-associated infection bundles, and surveillance of HAIs. It is aligned to the regional IPC-AMR curriculum and to the HAI training-of-trainers package validated with Africa CDC, so that self-paced learners and classroom trainees receive the same content. The course uses short video demonstrations, knowledge checks and a downloadable job aid, and issues a certificate on completion that feeds the workforce-competency record.
